halloween crafts

Last month, we shared Halloween craft inspiration from our Chicagoland stores and many of you were giddy over the Halloween Haunted House Craft created by our Lincoln Park associates. So we decided to feature it in celebration of today’s holiday!

Keep in mind, the team used scrap materials and pulled from our stock of “vintage” tools, so this craft may be hard to replicate, but it still provides wonderful inspiration for Halloween.

Spooktacular bats made from a vintage Martha Stewart punch.

paper dog

A ghoulishly green paper dog from our vintage Alien’s Kit. His Chocolate littermate can be found in our Paper Dolls Kit.

The team adorned this haunted house with a spider and spider web rubber stamp accent, giving it Paper Source style with heat embossing (of course!).

Every time we look at these photographs we find clever little details – like the steel brad door knob and vellum paper windows – that make this an upcycled craft that inspires creativity in any season.

What little details stand out to you?

Whooooo… that was a spooky fun little house. Thanks for sharing. My favorite is the spider coming down from the top window.

Wouldn’t this be spooktacular as a luminaria (battery operated, of course!)
